The University of Mersin, with all its academic sub-units, aims high quality education compatible to world standards and MedicReS foundation has the mission of supporting health researches by organizing biostatistics based trainings in Turkey and Europe. In order to improve the quality of medical researches published from Turkey in the field of medicine as well as encouraging researchers to design researches with high evidence, they are going to give support awards to Turkish researchers for their published medical research. 

With the aim of encouraging the wider use of international standards among Turkish researchers, CONSORT, PRISMA, STARD, STROBE statements  from The EQUATOR Network and MedicReS GBP (Good Biostatistical Practice) and MedicReS GBRS (Good Biostatistical Rewiew Standards) will be used in the evaluation of the applications.
 
Also in this award, in order to call attention to the problem of “publication bias”, one of the most common and important publishing problems, national and international publications will be evaluated jointly.
